Arielle Biro

I'm an ecosystem ecologist and biogeochemist.

I use empirical and theoretical approaches to study carbon and nitrogen cycling across a variety of ecosystems, from the boreal to the tropics. My research focus is broad, ranging from understanding how small-scale soil microbes increase nutrient acquisition and carbon sequestration to large-scale ecosystem simulation models that will allow us to predict how global change will impact the biosphere in the future.

I have skills in machine-learning, geospatial analysis, data science, experimental design, and project management. I'm passionate about working on our current climate crisis.
